Being A LEP is the new workshop completely redesigned by Melissa for individuals seeking support in their studying for the Licensed Educational Psychologist exam through the Board of Behavioral Sciences in California.  The workshop slideshow (provided on the Resource CD) covers the steps to become eligible to take the exam and what to expect at the testing center.

The exam plan is then broken down into the individual components and the workshop covers topics for each area of the exam.  The Resource CD has a quiz which contains a least one question for each of the knowledge areas identified on the exam plan.  The old practice questions are still available on the CD as although some of the content has changed, the questions make you think carefully about each concept continue to be useful.  All together, the CD now has over 300 practice questions for your use.

Additionally, the Resource CD contains a file to create flash cards for studying facts about the DSM, statistics and legal/ethical information.  Finally, the CD has documents which are helpful for you to peruse when studying, such as pdfs about important topics and useful websites.

The workshop now also covers starting your own practice after passing your LEP exam.  Topics for this portion of the workshop include: finding a space, materials, clients and additional legal/ethical issues.

All materials are provided as a part of workshop attendance.  In addition, you may purchase the materials and attend a workshop at a later date if you would like to start studying earlier than a planned workshop.
